Principal LED Welcomes Manufacturing Process Engineer
Principal LED announces Shon Tausch as their Manufacturing Process Engineer. With 25 years of experience in the electronics manufacturing industry, Tausch will make manufacturing in the United States a reality by implementing new processes and applying the Lean Six Sigma method to maintain a safe and compliant work environment. Tausch has a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Grantham University and is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
“This is an exciting time for Principal LED as we embark on the journey to be the first in our space to introduce Signage LED products manufactured in the United States,” COO and President of Principal LED, Jim Shaw said. “We are lucky to have Shon leading the charge in this key area of our business, we are confident he will bring the expertise and leadership that will be instrumental to our success.”
Before coming to work for Principal LED, Tausch worked at Frymaster in Shreveport, LA. There, he structured their new electronic manufacturing plant. While he was at Frymaster he received his Lean Six Sigma Black Belt through the American Society for Quality (ASQ). Tausch is confident that his experience with manufacturing at a Tier 1 company (Compaq) to contract manufacturing (Tier 3) is a valuable resource and will allow him to set new manufacturing lines.
“The Lean Six Sigma journey and my extensive understanding of the electronic process will directly transfer best practices to Principal LED’s new manufacturing facility,” Tausch said. “Personally, I’m excited to be a part of the future growth by setting up the infrastructure for manufacturing and partnering up with the management at Principal LED to introduce Lean Six Sigma.”
